Fleet-footed centre Jonathan Joseph attended the prolific Millfield School during which time he joined the London Irish academy. He broke into the first team in the 2010-11 season and came off the bench in the final of the Junior World Cup for England Under-20s in 2011. Stuart Lancaster handed him his full debut in South Africa the following year. Joseph moved to Bath in 2013 and struck up a partnership with rugby league convert Kyle Eastmond in midfield. Joseph was in scintillating form in the 2014-15 season and his form was rewarded with the RPA’s Player’s Player of the Year and the England Player of the Year awards.
He was his country’s top try scorer in 2016 with eight efforts, including an 18-minute hat-trick against Italy, and was picked by Warren Gatland to tour New Zealand with the British and Irish Lions in 2017. He came off the bench in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final in Japan as England lost to South Africa. He favours the Nike Tiempo Legend 8 Elite whether called upon in the centres or on the wing.
