Tighthead prop Tadhg Furlong grew up in a farming family in Wexford before progressing into the Leinster set-up. He made his senior provincial debut in 2013 and made it into the senior first team squad for the 2014-15 season. Furlong starred for Ireland Under-20s before making his full debut for his country in 2015 in a warm-up before the Rugby World Cup. After featuring in the tournament, he went on to start in the history-making victory over New Zealand in November 2016. Warren Gatland selected the Irishman for the British and Irish Lions tour to the same country in 2017 and Furlong started all three tests in the drawn series. He went on to win the 2018 Grand Slam with Ireland and domestically secured back to back Pro14 wins with Leinster from 2017 to 2020 as well as the Champions Cup in 2018. Furlong prefers the Adidas Kakari boots to power his blistering carries and ferocious scrummaging.
