Small scrum-half George Horne made his international debut in June 2018 and became the 1,097th Scottish international. He started in the 30-29 defeat to the USA in Texas. Things improved when the half back bagged a brace in his second game against Argentina. He had previously represented Scotland 7s in the 2018 Commonwealth Games held on the Gold Coast in Australia. He had joined Glasgow Warriors in 2015 and was loaned to London Scottish to cut his teeth in professional rugby in the same year. He returned to make his debut for the Warriors in the Pro12 against the Ospreys in 2016. Horne made the cut for Gregor Townsend’s 2019 Rugby World Cup squad and scored a hat-trick in the 61-0 win over Russia in the pool stage. Horne has scored six tries in 14 tests and wears the Under Armour Magnetico Pro Firm Ground boots.
