Hertford RFC welcomed a young Jamie George long before he brought up a half century of caps for England. The hooker was invited to the Saracens academy and played for England at Under-16, Under-18, and Under-20 level.
George made his first team Saracens debut in the 2009-10 season before establishing himself further the following year. George credits his development to South African pair Schalk Brits and John Smit. The hooker has won five Premiership titles and three European trophies with Saracens and will stick with them as they drop into the Championship after the salary cap scandal. He spent so much time behind then England skipper Dylan Hartley that his first international starts came in the three British and Irish Lions tests in the drawn series in New Zealand.
After establishing himself as England’s number one No2 he brought up 50 caps in the win against Italy in the 2020 Six Nations. He chooses to don the Adidas Predator Malice Control both domestically and on international duty.
