Born into rugby league royalty, Owen Farrell’s life was changed forever when dad and Wigan legend Andy crossed codes and move down south to play for Saracens. Owen would follow in his father’s footsteps, making his professional debut in 2008 aged just 17. He was the youngest to appear in English professional rugby union until his close friend and team-mate George Ford broke the record the following year. Farrell played for England through all the age groups before graduating to the senior team in 2012. He has won five Premiership titles and three European Cups with Saracens and is the club’s all-time record points scorer.
Farrell became England captain in 2019, taking over from Dylan Hartley and led the Red Rose to the World Cup final in Japan. He steered Eddie Jones’ men to the Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup titles in 2020. Only Jonny Wilkinson has more points for England than Farrell who relies upon his Nike Tiempo Legend 8 Elites for precision off the tee.
