Centre Sam Johnson was born in Queensland, Australia and qualifies for Scotland after completing a three-year residency period. Johnson represented Queensland and Australia schoolboys before eventually progressing into the Queensland Reds set up. He made two Super Rugby appearances before signing for Glasgow Warriors in 2015. After serving his three years, Johnson made his Scotland debut in the 33-20 win over Italy in the opening 2019 Six Nations game. He bagged his first try the following week in defeat to Ireland. Johnson starred in the 2019 Rugby World Cup and throughout the 2020 Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup. He has won 15 caps, all from the starting XV, and has scored three tries so far in his Scotland career. Johnson wears the Nike Tiempo Legend 8 Elite boots from his usual spot at inside centre.
