Centre Jonathan Davies – not to be confused with the legendary dual-code icon with the same name – is nicknamed ‘Fox’ as his parents used to run the Fox & Hounds Pub. Davies played age group rugby for Llanelli RFC and made his professional debut for the Scarlets in 2006. He made his Wales debut on the North American tour in 2009. He played in the 2011 Rugby World Cup before being picked to tour Australia with the British and Irish Lions in 2013.
He was picked to start ahead of Irish legend Brian O’Driscoll in the third and deciding test by Warren Gatland. The decision caused a massive backlash among Irish fans but the Lions ran out convincing winners. Davies was voted player of the drawn series by his Lions colleagues on the 2017 tour to New Zealand. A regular for Wales winning two Grand Slams, he wears the Nike Tiempo Legend boots along with his trademark grey scrum cap.
