Wingers

The fastest players on the pitch, the left and right wingers have developed from their historic role as speedy finishers with low skill sets. In the 21st century rugby they are more complete players, still equipped with the speed but also, with the evolution of kicking, been forced often into cover and counter-attacking and kicking opportunities. As a result the boots they need have to be multipurpose, still fitted and lightweight for speed, but also able to control and kick a ball from narrow angles under pressure.
