Prop Kyle Sinckler famously turned up for his first rugby session in full Manchester United football kit. But it wasn’t long before he was wearing the Harlequins academy and England age group shirts.

Sinckler represented his country from Under-16s to Under-20s, appearing in the 2012 Junior World Cup. After impressing in south west London with Quins, Sinckler was called up to the senior side by coach Eddie Jones in 2016. The barnstorming front rower made his debut as a replacement for Dan Cole against South Africa. And less than a year later he was on the plane to New Zealand with the British and Irish Lions. Sinckler came off the bench in all three tests as the series was drawn.

He played a central role in England’s run to the 2019 World Cup final, scoring in the semi-final win over Australia. But England’s tighthead suffered an early game-ending concussion in the final against South Africa. Sinckler moved to Bristol Bears in 2020 on a two-year deal. He helped England win the 2020 Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup titles and managed to get his barber into the biosecure bubble to keep up his pre-match routine of a fresh trim. Sinckler wears Adidas Kakari Elites.
