A resurgent Ireland rugby side topped the world rankings for the first time in 2019, but despite the number one billing, failed to carry that momentum through to the World Cup, a tournament they have failed to progress past the quarter-final stage in in all nine attempts. Domestically they have had more success winning four Six Nations tournaments including a resounding grand slam in 2018 behind World Player of the Year Jonny Sexton.
Superstar veteran outside-halves Conor Murray and Sexton both suit up in adidas Malice Controls, the kickers preferred footwear throughout international rugby. Other consistent backs Keith Earls and Bundee Aki prefer Nike Phantom GTs, whilst wunderkind Jordan Larmour returns kicks with the trusty speed of the Nike Mercurial Vapors.
