Winger George North was a North Wales regional star before moving south to further his professional rugby dream. He was born in England and his father is English but mother Welsh and they moved back to Anglesey when George was two. North joined the Scarlets in 2010 and impressed immediately, getting fast tracked into the Wales side. The 18-year-old became the third-youngest Wales international ever when he debuted against South Africa. He has virtually been a regular in the Welsh side since and is the second highest try scorer for his country behind Shane Williams. North was sensational in the British and Irish Lions winning tour to Australia in 2013, famously carrying Israel Folau on his back, and he moved to Northampton Saints on his return. He spent five seasons in the Premiership before returning to Wales with the Ospreys in 2018. North again toured with the Lions in 2017 and won the Grand Slam in 2019. He is married to Team GB cyclist Becky James and has scored 41 tries in 98 tests for Wales. He wears the Adidas Predator Malice Control boots.
