Scotland may have been one of the first ever rugby nations, but since the dawning of professionalism they haven’t lived up to their heady historical expectations. The side have failed to progress further than the quarter-finals in the World Cup and never won the Six Nations since the tournament added Italy in 1999. The current iteration of the squad is built behind a strong young core, and former player turned coach Gregor Townsend will be optimistic after impressive performances in the Autumn Nations Cup at the end of 2020.
Among this contingent are current captain Stuart Hogg, the flairy full-back who runs rings around opposition in the Nike Mercurial Superfly. Finn Russell favours, like a majority of fly-halves the adidas Malice Controls , whilst scrum-half Ali Price who does his work at the break down in adidas X 19.3 boots.
